Regulatory Offences
Provincial offences are considered quasi-criminal in that the rules of evidence and disclosure are similar and the punishments can include jail time (Although fines and other prohibitions or punishments are much more common). Your limitations and freedoms can be drastically affected from being convicted of a regulatory offence, including: having your drivers license suspended, being prohibited from owning animals, and not being able to own your business. Curtis Mennie has experience dealing with various provincial acts in Alberta.
