F was charged with an allegation of assault with a weapon contrary to section 267 of the Criminal Code. Due to some mental health concerns with F, Calgary Defence lawyer Curtis Mennie arranged for a meeting with Alberta Health Services where it was determined that the charges were related to mental health issues. F was approved to enter into the Mental Health Diversion program where he successfully completed his diversion and the charge against him was withdrawn. F received no criminal record.
